Saturday 7 August:

A wet start to the day (and, ultimately, very heavy rain in the afternoon).
Fetched the newspaper first thing AND popped into Hugo’s to buy some fruit+veg (and, somehow, very nearly left my camera there!).
Later went to Wilko’s to get some washing up salt (noticed that the pub on Cannon Street was bursting with customers at 11am… no social-distancing worries it seems!).
Watched a little more Olympic stuff (penultimate day) and then spent much of the afternoon finishing my Roddy Doyle book.
Moira did some more ‘file sorting’ (Felix has agreed to make a trip to the tip during the course of next week).
Evening telly: more ‘Montalbano’.
