Thursday 5 August:

Started the morning off (early) by emailing Lesley Warren (solicitor Director) and Laurence to chase up/query why exchange STILL hadn’t happened. Response from both of them (well from Sally at solicitors) saying that they hadn’t been able to get hold of our buyer’s solicitor yesterday despite chasing a number of times. They (plus buyer George) would be chasing up today! So frustrating.
Morning coffee inside with Moira.
Rain forecast later, so decided to have a brief walk around North Street etc and take photographs of various Upfest artworks (this year Upfest is happening over the course of 4-5 weeks, I think).
After much thought, we decided to tip the Indigo dye (that’s been in a bin for several years!) down the drain!
Another Asda delivery just after lunch (our penultimate at number40?).
Eventually, at 3.45pm, we received confirmation that contracts had been exchanged. Tangible relief!!
In other news, Grealish signed for Man City and Ings signed for Villa!
Eveening telly: more Olympics and early to bed (I cricked my back a couple of days ago and it’s still very painful).
