Read in bed first thing, then Moira and I had champagne and bacon sandwiches (traditional New Year’s Day fare!) for breakfast.
We walked around Bathurst Basin in slight drizzle and then back for morning coffee.
Lazy (somewhat disappointing/uneventful) day… no car to jump into; Moira’s sciatica limiting our walks; and no family or friends making anything but phone contact). Hey ho!
Ended up finishing my ‘Shepherd’ book (really excellent)… I strongly suspect it will end up being my book of 2021!
Evening telly: ‘Dr Who’, ‘Only Connect’ and ‘University Challenge’
Bristol Bears beat Newcastle at home (despite having a number of forwards missing due to positive Covid tests) and Villa lost to ManU as usual at Old Trafford 2-1.
