Saturday 2 January:

Beautiful, sunny morning… we’re still trying to avoid people when we walk so, as usual, we don’t walk on Saturdays (which was a shame, today).
Fetched the newspaper and bought milk and bread (and Lemsip+paracetamol!)… and pored over the paper while drinking our coffees.
Sketched the dining room fireplace (another of my ‘staring at’ sketches!!) before lunch and then read more of my ‘Crossway’ book (about a young man’s pilgrimage from Canterbury to Jerusalem) – which, so far, seems pretty impressive.
Spent part of the afternoon preparing an invite for another of our ‘virtual sketchmeets’ – this time at Essaouira, Morocco – for next weekend. Shame there doesn’t seem to be any ‘streetview’.
Evening telly: ‘Imagine’ (Tracey Emin) and ‘Michael Palin’ (Sahara).
