I went for my usual dawn harbourside walk (dawn is now 8.10am!)… but it was all pretty depressing weather-wise – steady drizzle and grey skies (which continued more or less for the rest of the day). As long as I’m suitably dressed, I certainly don’t mind the rain… but there was a sense of “Oh, not another dismal day!”. I think we all need a bit of sunshine to keep our spirits up.
Tried to ring Virgin Media about my emails (see yesterday’s post), but got a recorded message advising me that they were operating at a reduced level due to Covid and that I might have to ‘hang on’ for more than an hour! So I ended up going back to their website, tried various operations (unsuccessfully) and eventually decided to try to change my password… and hey presto, it worked!
Moira and I had morning coffee as usual… she expressed some frustration at her lack of ‘projects’.
Most of the rest of the morning was taken up with domestic/admin matters – some washing, some cleaning, checking out Rio de Janeira as a possible USk location, checking to see how Ana was (cricked neck), bins etc.
Afternoon comprised a quick stair sketch and some more ‘Snow Country’ reading (finding it difficult to get into the book).
Evening telly: more Stein’s ‘Cornwall’ and ‘Landscape Artist’.
