No early morning walk today because Rich was due to come and fit a new external door in our basement. Before he arrived, I realised that this also meant that I would need to ‘clean out’ (vaguely) the basement wc – clearing out plaster that had crumbled into the wash basin, wiping down surfaces, sweeping floor etc. Oh what fun!
Anyway, Rich duly arrived just before 10am and they worked very efficiently and managed to complete their work by about 1.30pm. Good to have got the job done!
I did also some more preparatory work in connection with the second Blurb book (pretty daunting!) and ordered two new sketchbooks. I also tried to order some pens but I don’t think the order went through in the end.
In the afternoon, I watched the ‘Dunkirk’ film (I’d previously seen it in the cinema)… not enormously impressed (as before).
Moira had her bookgroup in the evening, so I went to bed early and read.
Another record covid-related deaths day (1,325).
Evening telly: ‘Cornwall’ and ‘Winter Walks’ (again).
