Monday 7 June:

My usual dawn harbour walk (quite a few rowers about) on a lovely sunny morning.
Back home to the mountain of washing up after yesterday’s socializing (seems as though every plate, bowl, pan and dish in the house had been used!)… one dishwasher load on last night and still left another two loads (and some hand-washing)…
Moira and I had morning coffee inside (the bright start to the day had clouded over.
Sorted out various bits for the solicitor.
Nothing back from Solon HA about the Japanese knotweed… but had a call from Laurence at lunchtime: George had organised a knotweed specialist to come and assess things (Eugene, Friday 2pm). It’s probably the best way of actually progressing matters – one way or the other.
Scribbled a colour doodle in my sketchbook (took my mind off knotweed!)… and then read the second half of my latest Atkinson novel (she’s pretty brilliant!).
