Once again (I’m getting lazy), no dawn walk.
I ended up reading and then sketching (in the house) before morning coffee with Moira (at home).
Robin rang me in response to my email to him yesterday. He was keen to speak ‘off the record’ (which was fine by me)… but he indicated that, despite the expressed intention (in last December’s AGM) to go out for quotes and get a EWS1 survey done on the apartment block, this hasn’t been done. The ‘Board’ have either been told or have just made up their own minds that this is no longer required. It all seems very strange to me… but at least allows me to chase up answers from our sellers’ solicitors. As things stand, there are an awful lot of questions that require answers! I followed up my chat with Robin with another email to solicitor Gail underlining the need to obtain clarification. All somewhat frustrating!
In fact, Moira and I ended up deciding to go to Little Victories Café on Gaol Ferry Steps for outdoor, sit down coffee towards the end of the morning – which was good (but chilly in the wind).
More reading in the afternoon… and Iris popped in to look at fabrics that Moira had sorted out (and it was lovely to hug her again!).
Evening telly: Watched a fascinating documentary on the Indian Partition; I vaguely kept in touch with the score in the England match… but only watched bits on catch-up.
