LOVE IN THE TIME OF COVID-19: Tuesday 8 June:

Diary of random thoughts and observations from the perspective of self-isolation/distancing... I don’t actually know what lies ahead of us… but it could get pretty awful over the coming days/weeks/months. ‘Old people’, like me, will be first group that the government asks to self-isolate. Obviously, as far as possible, we need to prepare – both practically and mentally. I’ve decided that I need this outlet for my reflections during the course of our days of isolation. March 2020

Tuesday 8 June:

Decided against an early morning walk… and messed about on the laptop instead(!) – including booking M-Shed (tomorrow) to see the Colston statue.
Moira and I had coffee with Ru (she was here fairly briefly, before going on to BV Studio).
Ended up walking up through Leigh Woods (and then back down to the Avon and home). Beautiful sunny day (but not too hot)… and back by lunchtime.
Did a couple of sketches during the course of the day (neither very good – delphinium and another Eric Gill image).
Read some more of my Bloomsbury book.
Still no feedback from Solon HA (no real surprise).
‘Attended’ an online talk by Guardian journalists. marina Hyde and John Crace (excellent).
