Friday 3 July:

Another harbourside dawn walk (and fortunately it didn’t rain today!), then home to an omelette for breakfast (+coffee!).
Morning coffee with Moira inside, then sketched the final ‘Heap house’ drawing (embarrassingly poor sketches – mainly thanks to really awful photographs, but hey!).
Read some more of my ‘Black+British’ book.
I’ve decided to get my DNA tested (to see if I’m related to dinosaurs!) and the kit duly arrived in today’s post. I took my swabs and duly posted the stuff off to Houston, Texas (several weeks before I hear back, apparently) together with Heap sketches. It meant going to the post office (complete with face mask!) and it was the first time I’ve been in a shop since the beginning of March. Very strange, uncomfortable feeling… and something I’ll endeavour to repeat VERY infrequently.
Watched the third episode of ‘Black+British’ on catch-up.
Later, I scribbled down some thoughts about the imminent relaxed coronavirus  rules (the pubs open tomorrow from 6am!), while Moira had her bookgroup zoom meeting.
Image: It didn’t rain on my dawn walk… but it threatened to!
