Wednesday 7 April:

A day spent zooming! No walking as I had Bloke’s Prayer at 8am… I regularly find myself getting irritated by Jeff’s foibles (I wanted to talk about my Dad’s 100^th birthday, but Jeff said it made him feel very uncomfortable – as he was abused by his father as a boy). I obviously sympathise with Jeff,  but we keep discovering various no-go areas (eg. Robin’s forthcoming evening ‘Death+Dying’ evening session – Jeff says he’s happy to discuss ‘death’, but not ‘dying’! Give me strength!).
Spent part of the afternoon reading my ‘Project’ book and also preparing for my two bookgroups.
Early evening bookgroup zooms: Storysmith on ‘The Land Where Lemons Grow’ (very good discussion) and Bloke’s Books on ‘Born To Run’ (not my kind of book at all… all a little frustrating).
