Monday 1 June:

My Mum would have been 92 today!
Another dawn walk… the ‘usual’ harbourside circuit. Only people I saw were: two fishermen and two joggers. Some primary schools re-open today – I noticed that Ashton Gate Primary School, down the road, had painted 2metre distance markers on their perimeter walls (not sure if these were for pupils or parents!).
Read a little of my Armitage book after breakfast… then coffee in the garden with Moira.
Started a couple of sketches… Ed’s house (which I’m finding quite tricky – but at least I’ve made a start) and have also been looking for possible drawing locations for this coming Saturday’s ‘virtual’ urban sketching meet-up in Liverpool.
Wine and olives in the garden with Moira before supper!
Watched a documentary on Tintoretto on SkyArts and the final programme of Grayson Perry’s Arts Club (which is sad… it would have been good for it to have continued).
Image: Whenever I go for one of my ‘dawn walks’, I always leave a postcard (this one!) for Moira just confirming where I am… they’re hardly necessary really as she’s usually still asleep by the time I return!
