Sunday 7 June:

Moira and I went walking before streamed church (Greville Smyth Park/Metrobus Bridge/harbourside/Vauxhall Bridge).
Produced various rough scribbles for Megan/Adam’s drawing (but still really struggling)… it would be SO much easier if I was able to use photoshop to introduce/manipulate/cut+paste and arrange images (but, sadly, I can’t!).
Rather than get too frustrated, I ended up finishing my ‘Lowborn’ book (excellent).
There were more anti-racism protests throughout the UK today, including Bristol (I’ve previously voiced my ‘social distancing’ concerns). This city’s demonstrations proved highly significant as the protesters pulled down Colston’s statue, then dragged it and dumped it in the harbour (next to Pero’s Bridge)! A significant, highly-symbolic moment methinks.
Had a lovely phonecall from Rosa... and then I rang Jemima to wish her a happy happy 10th birthday!! It sounds as if she's had a very nice day.
Watched ‘Antiques Roadshow’ then early to bed.
