Monday 8 June:

A fairly unremarkable day… dawn walk around the harbour, followed by some reading (I’ve resorted to PG Wodehouse for more ‘comfort’ reading!).
Morning coffee with Moira (inside).
I spent much of the rest of the day trying to draft out a full-size version of Megan/Adam’s Birmingham drawing. Good to get something ‘concrete’ on paper (albeit only in rough pencil), but there are still lots of areas that I’m unhappy with, so… only time will tell.
More reading at the end of the afternoon.
Another Montalbano episode on catch-up tv in the evening.
Bristol mayor, Marvin Rees, clearly had a very busy day on interviews (following the anti-racism protest and pulling down of the Colston statue yesterday). I thought he handled things pretty well – decrying the criminal actions, but understanding the motives behind them.
