Bank Holiday… and yet every day post-Christmas always feels like a Sunday!
Went for my usual dawn harbourside walk… overcast and very cold (quite a few oarsmen out on the water).
Banksy’s ‘earring lady’ has had her mask repositioned already!
Moira and I had our usual morning coffee catch-up (which obviously included reflecting on Alice and Dave).
Another lazy day… I did some sketching (sitting on the sofa) and also some reading (‘The Shepherd’s Life’).
Emailed Jackie and also David about possible zoom catch-ups over the coming days (had a rather ‘I’ll get back to you in the New Year’ response from Jackie).
In the afternoon, I re-watched ‘The Death of Stalin’ on catch-up.
Had an email from matthew at the end of the afternoon to say that Eric Hardy had died on Boxing Day (aged 94?) and that Anthea had died 6 days earlier. Very sad but somewhat poetic that they died just six days apart.
Evening telly: ‘Only Connect’ and ‘Christmas University Challenge’ (pretty boring).
