Wednesday 16 December:

No dawn walk due to Bloke’s Prayer zooming. It seems clear that everyone else in our group will be getting together with their families over the Christmas period… and, although I have huge reservations about what such actions might mean nationally, I accept that people will make their own choices (presumably based on the government’s current confirmation that it won’t be backing down from its original 4-day rule relaxation period).
A horrible day – quite heavy rain all morning and only brightening up towards the end of the afternoon.
Went for my usual harbour walk before lunch (duly dressed in full waterproof gear!).
Spent some of the morning wrapping Christmas presents.
Finished my Bradbury book in the afternoon (very enjoyable).
Evening telly: ‘Repair Shop’ (repeat)... followed by early bed to read my next book ('Love and Other Thought Experiments' by Sophie Ward).
Image: today’s very wet marina view…
