Tuesday 29 December:

Yet another lazy-between-Christmas-and-New-Year day!
I decided to forego my early morning walk in favour of a bath and shampoo… and also to set aside time to write a note to Matthew regarding Eric+Anthea.
Moira went for a short, local walk in the sunshine (but had to limit the distance once more – but at least enjoyed the best of the weather, because it was raining by lunchtime).
I spent a large part of the remainder of the morning re-reading Helen Fielding’s ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ after a television documentary about Fielding herself and her ‘Bridget’ newspaper columns of the 1990s (I decided that ‘The Shepherd’s Life’ would make an excellent book to start 2021).
In the afternoon, we watched the 1996 film ‘Emma’.
Evening telly: ‘Christmas Only Connect’ and ‘Christmas University Challenge’ (not particularly compelling)… we avoided a programme (the start of a new series!) entitled: “Celebrity: A 21st Century Story” (my worst nightmare).
Image: Eric and Anthea (an image I 'stole' from Eric's facebook profile!).
