I went for my usual ‘normal’ harbourside early morning walk today… on my own, despite the fact that it was Sunday – when Moira and I normally walk together (Moira was suffering a little with hip pain). We both skipped streamed church completely today.
Finished my Kenneth Grahame book… and started ‘The Shepherd’s Life’.
Both Alice and Dave have tested positive for Covid (and need to isolate for 10 days)… I know Alice is especially feeling very anxious. Thinking of them all.
Spent a fair amount of the morning reading the Observer (and generally catching up).
Had a very enjoyable lunch of poached eggs/toast/bubble+squeak.
Scribbled out some blog thoughts on ‘Brexit’ (as the UK prepares to ‘take its leave’!).
More Christmas cake after lunch and re-watched ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ film (ideal après-Christmas viewing).
Evening telly: documentary on ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ and ’30 years of Have I Got News For You’.
Image: ‘Her Mask Has Slipped’… (Banksy needs to undertake some repairs).
