Sunday 11 July:

I didn’t go to Saint Stephen’s today (although Moira did) as I was potentially ‘on call’ for Iris+Rosa – as Ru+Stu had to travel down to the Devon Guild to take down Ru’s exhibition.
So, I fetched the newspaper… read the newspaper… then read more of my Catherine Fox book.
I spoke to Rosa shortly after lunch… and they were both fine (Iris is currently in isolation again from school following someone in her school bubble testing positive). I’d given Rosa the option of meeting up in town – but she was happy doing ‘house stuff’ at home.
I spoke to Iris at 6pm (Ru+Stu had just got back home)… and it was good to chat to her. She explained that, because of various isolation bubbles and positive test results, she hadn’t actually seen any of her close friends for over a month… and I think, quite understandably, this has taken its toll. Terribly sad.
In the afternoon I watched the Wimbledon men’s final (Djokovic won in four sets – a good final).
Roast pork for supper(!).
Evening telly (surprise, surprise) was the Italy v England football game… England ended up losing 2-3 on penalties in extra time (1-1 at full time)
