Rainy day forecast… I fetched the morning newspaper.
Moira and I had morning coffee inside. Moira decided to skip church and just use the streamed link instead. I decided to go to HTH (simply because I was aware of effectively boycotting its services!)… and, yes, it did rain. Service taken by Wayne (his last day) and talk given by Nick (I usually find his talks pretty disappointing, but today’s was much better… in my view at least!).
The rest of the day was something of another non-day (more rain)… I read my ‘Greek’ book (plus the newspaper)… and also watched the last 20 minutes of the England v USA rugby game on Channel4 (England won 43-29… Bristol’s Harry Randall scored a try and was named ‘man of the match’).
Early to bed after usual ‘Countryfile’ and ‘Antiques’… and just hoping that the coming week brings good news on the housing front (hate the continuing uncertainty)(obviously, worst case scenario would be that George’s borrowers opted out due to knotweed!!).
