Thursday 1 July:

We’d decided to go out for lunch today – the first time since we’d had lunch at the Ashmolean on Moira’s 70th birthday (just 476 days ago!)… so I decided to give my morning walk a miss today.
I’d had another rubbish night’s sleep (more tossing and turning).
Moira and I had a usual morning coffee (inside).
Emailed Jonny (to tell him about Lee) and Tom (to try to organise coffee together).
I sketched out a plan of ‘our’ apartment (based on the dimensions I’d taken the other day) – as an exercise as much as anything (but it might also be useful when/if it came to organising shelves and worktops.
We decided to go to ‘Wild Beer’ for lunch – sunny day, so we could sit outside… and we both fancied their fish+chip lunch (and, for me, a glass of their ‘millionaires’ beer!). It was all very enjoyable. We walked home via Vauxhall Bridge (Moira walking VERY slowly!).
Watched some tennis (excellent Kerber v Tormo match) and read some more of my ‘Greek’ book.
