Sunday 9 August:

For the second Sunday running, Moira and I decided to skip streamed church and take a flask of coffee to Leigh Woods (together with a bar of chocolate to share!) instead. A good way to start the day…
Bought a Sunday newspaper while we were out and so spent the rest of the morning picking our respective ways through the various sections (it’s probably only the second time we’ve had a Sunday paper during lockdown?).
A pretty lazy day… I read more of my ‘Princess Bride’ book after lunch and also re-watched the final episode of Lucy Worsley’s excellent ‘American Fibs’ programme on catch-up.
Roast pork for supper – which was excellent – followed by the usual ‘Antiques Roadshow’ before early night and more reading.
