Wednesday 19 August:

Last full day in Eastville… and it started in heavy rain and oppressive clouds (and stayed that way until lunchtime).
Coffee+cake indoors and Moira went back up to bed to continue reading. I ended up sketching (quick and pretty boring), putting together photographs and generally catching on news etc.
Went another local walk after lunch (in the break in the weather): via Muller Road, Watercress Farm (smallholding growing and selling vegetables), Boiling Wells Lane (past the eco-/self-build houses) and then back ‘home’ along the track next to the ‘climbing church’.
Have been quite aware, over the past three days or so, that I’ve been quite breathless walking uphill (even quite gentle slopes, especially if I’m carrying something). Just a little concerned that this mirrors some of the ‘background’ to my interstitial lung disease/fibrosis concerns of 3 years or so ago. I think I need to monitor things.
Read more of my impressive ‘All The Light We Cannot See’ book (based in Paris/St Malo during WW2).
