Tuesday 25 August:

Another wet dawn walk today – in fact, very wet, wild+windy together with a backdrop of rumbling thunder. Well wrapped up, so I was fine… and, if suitably equipped, I love walking in the rain.
Morning coffee inside (somewhat predictably!).
Bought some paint and stuff from Wilko in advance of redecorating our front railings (with help from Iris+Rosa hopefully).
Did a little sketching before lunch (Drawing Group’s theme this week: musical instruments).
Liaised with Jane regarding forthcoming ‘live’ urban sketching meet-up on 6 September (she didn’t sound in a particularly good way… struggling somewhat?). Think it’ll be down to me to try to sort something out.
Frustrated trying to listen to the cricket (no play until 4.15pm)… but good that Somerset managed to take the final two Gloucester wickets to win their game.
Bristol Bears played Exeter in the evening and lost 22-25 after an Exeter try in the final minute.
Image: more harbour lights at the marina.
