Twenty-one weeks since ‘lockdown’…
Didn’t go for a dawn walk this morning because Nick, Robin
and I were meeting at the Society Café for our regular Blokes’ Prayer session
(café opened at 8am). Sadly, Dave, Ed, Jeff and Dru weren’t able to join us -
busy on other important matters such as holidays (Jeff); electrician (Ed);
preparing final software data release before his job ends on Friday (Dave);
service preparation? (Dru). It was absolutely lovely actually SEEING special people
again (on a table outside the café)… and a bonus that it was a beautiful blue
sky morning.
It promised to be another incredibly hot day (like yesterday)
and so it turned out… Moira absolutely detests such weather… but we did have a
couple of heavy thunder showers at the end of the day!
Read more of my bookgroup book (still not absolutely
convinced!) and also experimented producing some quick wax sunflower sketches
(this week’s Drawing Group theme is ‘Flowers’)… not particularly successful,
but good fun. The washing machine engineer has confirmed that we need to
replace our old machine (not cost-effective to repair)… so we’re making
arrangements to obtain a replacement.
Another episode of ‘Portrait Artist’ (and an old ‘Repair Shop’)
in the evening while Moira had her bookgroup zoom session.
