Saturday 21 November:

Felt very rough after a sleepless, painful night.
No breakfast.
Went to the pharmacy as soon as it opened… and was told that I simply needed to let things evolve (and that it was likely to sort itself out within 5 days). In the meantime, important to stay hydrated, eat fruit and get reasonable exercise… and, if things didn’t improve, seek a doctor’s appointment.
Probably easier said than done.
In the meantime, plenty of fluids etc. Just a mug of soup for lunch.
Jeff delivered a bottle of wine, a card and some flapjacks!
Read the Saturday paper (vaguely) and went and laid on the bed in the afternoon listening to the radio.
Slice of toast and herbal tea for supper.
Watched an old ‘Midsommer Murder’ in early evening telly.
Stomach ache somewhat improved by the evening, but headache now an issue (caffeine-related? No coffee for a day and a half…). Early to bed and just hoped for SOME sleep!!
Just a small ray of sunshine… weekly covid-related UK deaths over the past five weeks:
week 1: 1066; week 2: 1720; week 3: 2333; week 4: 2878; week 5: 2860.
