Tuesday 10 November:

Usual harbour walk – incredibly dark and bleak (with slight drizzle)… the sky only started to lighten as I approached home.
Wrote up a brief ‘Fifty Fifty’ review on my draft blog… I really enjoyed the book.
Morning coffee with Moira…
Spent the rest of the morning and the early part of the afternoon thinking through (and scribbling out) some draft ‘New Year Reflection’ notes… yes, I know it’s early (and that things will change), but…
Received hospital appointment letters from Southmead hospital (lung and walk tests) plus telephone follow-up appointment. I rang the hospital, explained my situation (not a car-owner, avoiding public transport, not wanting to use taxi etc… and that I feel pretty healthy). They agreed to cancel and re-schedule perhaps in 3 months time.
Also had another letter from the Health Secretary (again simply signed ‘Matt’!)… advising me to stay at home wherever possible etc.
Watched the first part of a two-part documentary “My family, the Holocaust and me” (Robert Rinder)… absolutely excellent.
Evening telly: ‘Bake Off’ and Simon Reeve’s documentary on Cornwall.
Image: ‘Good morning sunshine’… oh.
