Wednesday 11 November:

Decided not to bother with my usual dawn walk (with Bloke’s Prayer at 8am and dawn not happening until 7.25am currently, the two things rather overlap).
Bloke’s Prayer as usual (Dave, Dru, Ed, Jeff and Tim)(Robin in Canary Islands and Nick on hols). General expressions of great relief regarding US presidential election etc.
Decided to go for a walk anyway (about 10am)… despite pretty gloomy weather, which threatened rain (rain actually held off for some 2-3 hours, so I was lucky). Walked along the Avon and into the woods – very beautiful (saw two impressive runners doing ‘circuits’ up and down long hills… once again, I felt very old and incapable!).
Read some of my Bill Bryson book (‘A Walk in the Woods’) in the afternoon… very funny!
In the evening, I zoomed Derek Witchell (another in my series of catch-ups!)… very good to chat and compare notes.
The UK recorded its 50,000 Covid-related death today.
