Thursday 19 November:

Went for my regular dawn walk and, although general cloudy, I was lucky enough to see some early morning red sky.
Morning coffee with Moira (a little later than usual).
Did various minor domestic chores, including a washing load and thinking about a Christmas ‘card’ of sorts. Had a very thoughtful email from Robin (following the comments I’d made yesterday about tonight’s PCC – I’m no longer a member – and also about my struggling spiritual life!), followed by an equally lovely email from Jeff saying that he’d bought me a bottle of wine to ease my spiritual anxieties!).
Finished my Osman book in the afternoon (excellent) and ordered a couple of papaerbacks from Storysmith to keep me going on the run up to Christmas!
Chatted to Ursa on the phone at the end of the afternoon (she was very cheerful… told me about her appointment at the Dental Hospital next week and about her next door neighbour’s goats… and her cunning plan to build a gate into her garden!!).
Excellent fish pie supper!
Evening telly: Old episode of ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ and ‘Portrait Artist’.
