Wednesday 25 November:

Another relatively quiet day of continuing recovery. I went for my usual dawn walk (30 minutes later than usual – but you’d never have known, it very overcast and grey)… lots more people about on my homeward route past the local school.
I would usually have participated in Bloke’s Prayer, but decided to opt out for today (and also to back down from tonight’s ‘Books’ zoom meet – although the blokes ended up, against my wishes, re-arranging it for 11 December instead! It seems that at least two have made any inroads into the book at all… which is a bit frustrating to put it mildly.
Morning coffee with Moira.
It now seems as though BOTH Iris and Rosa are in self-isolation due to others (or one of their family members) having been found Covid-positive. All very frustrating for everyone.
I ended up managing to speak to both of them by telephone at the end of the afternoon and they both sounded fine and coping (but who really knows?). As things stand, Iris returns to school on Monday; Rosa will be off for 2 weeks.
I did a quickish coloured sketch loosely based on some crochet – reminded me of all my grandmother Rose’s shawls!!
Read more of my Bryson book (the perfect type of book for these times).
Chatting through my various ‘ailments’ with Moira, she wondered if I might some gallstone issues (and, having checked some of the symptoms online, I think she might be right).
Evening telly: ‘Repair Shop’… early to bed.
Image: ‘crochet’!?
