Monday 3 May:

Bank Holiday Monday! No walking (to avoid the holiday crowds!)… reasonably bright morning, but followed by the forecast rain after lunch.
I managed to finish my ‘fantasy’ bookgroup book last night and so spent a fair of time trying to scribble my normal book ‘review’, plus putting together a more in-depth ‘analysis’ later (for bookgroup purposes). It will genuinely be very interesting to see what others made of it all (I suspect mine could be a minority view).
There had also been a couple emails about Bloke’s Prayer from Ed and Jonny (Dave had invited another ‘bloke’ along for Wednesday’s zoom session - which I actually won’t be attending)… so I added my own thoughts and circulated everyone. Again, I suspect mine might be a minority view.
Put a coat white emulsion on some pieces of wood for Ru (as part of her exhibition) in the afternoon… and also watched the film ‘Bill’ on catch-up (a Horrible History’s version of the life Shakespeare – quite entertaining).
Watched a little of the snooker final (always somewhat mesmerising!).
Evening telly: Only early evening stuff worth watching… ‘Portillo’ and the excellent Yorkshire ‘River Walks’.
