Nick, from the estate agents, phoned me before 10am to say that our offer had been accepted… a huge relief. Just the thought of trying to find an alternative place felt pretty onerous.
I went for a dawn walk (my usual route) on a rather lovely start to the day (very still, quite dramatic sunrise).
Spent much of the rest of the day, completing forms and liaising with solicitors and estate agents… some queries quite challenging and not necessarily resolved satisfactorily… but hey!
Slightly tiresome, very time-consuming task of having to scan completed forms and documents and then emailing back to the solicitors (not accepting stuff by hand due to Covid etc).
Felt pretty tired and jaded by the end of the day… and still much work ahead of us, BUT at least our Deanery Road offer has been accepted(!)… the first hurdle has been jumped!
