Moira and I went to ‘real’ church today at Saint Stephen’s (first time for more than six months)! Felt very strange… the entire congregation in face-masks; no singing (just Emily playing the piano and some recorded Taizè music) and seated suitably social-distanced. Another excellent ‘talk’ from Lee (follow on from his talk from last Sunday). Good to see everyone again – and then to gather in the garden (although that did feel somewhat strange… us all socially-distancing). Presumably, with the maximum-groups-of-six rules being introduced tomorrow, we won’t be able to continue this après-service get together?
Back home fairly promptly for a quick lunch before another ‘virtual’ urban sketching session (this time involving a trip to Mikonos, Greece!). Very enjoyable, as usual (8 ‘zoom’ sketchers).
Read more of my ‘Summerwater’ book before supper.
Late afternoon/evening telly: watched the last 45 minutes of Casablanca (1942); ‘Landscape Artist’; and ‘Mortimer+Whitehouse: Gone Fishing’.
