Wednesday 9 September:

Bloke’s Prayer at the Social Café first thing… everyone there except Dru (but Jeff seemed completely ‘out of it’). Spoilt by a bloke on his phone (wearing headphones) having a VERY loud conversation with his ‘mate’ (we ended up exiting the café and sitting outside!).

Home to ‘prepare’ for tonight’s Bloke’s Books (on Olusoga’s ‘Black+Bristish book).

Finished my ‘The Wild Silence’ book… and scribbled up a draft blog review.

Watched the ‘Portrait Artist 2019’(?) final.

Mr Johnson announced that there will be no gatherings of more than six people from next Monday.

Finished the day with a zoom “Bloke’s Books” zoom discussion on Olusoga’s book (all seven of us involved). Good discussion – although Jeff (who hadn’t read the book) took us off at various tangents. We all need to come up with a suggestion for a ‘humorous’ book for the next session.
