Tuesday 15 September:

Had a very rough night… disturbed by severe pain at the base of my right heel (apparently related to plantar fasciitis). Frustrating. No dawn walk as a consequence… had a proper bath instead! Pain had eased by lunchtime... and I ended up going to Hugo's to buy fruit.
Moira and I had coffee in the garden and then I spent most of the morning drafting a possible blog post.
Read a little of my ‘Wise Children’ book before watching Attenborough’s “Extinction: The Facts” documentary on iPlayer. Excellent, impressive, sobering programme.
In the evening, I tuned into the Neil Oliver lecture on “Wisdom of the Ancients”. Interesting, but very aware that it was geared towards encouraging people to buy his book.
