Saturday 2 May:

Another dawn walk, another beautiful sunny morning. Walked down North Street (on the basis that I hadn’t been in the street for what seems an awful long time). It’s very strange being able to take photographs (and to walk) in the middle of the road… then Greenway Bush Lane/Vauxhall Bridge/SS Great Britain/harbourside/Gaol Ferry Bridge. Wonderful still waters and reflections around the marina (see image). Back home before 7am to breakfast of poached egg+toast+coffee.
Read ‘Virgin Suicides’ for a while.
After lunch (Moira had made some humous), I rang Iris and Dan (again, they both seem in very good form and coping without problems).
Spent part of the afternoon starting to organise photographs+sketches for a possible Blurb book essentially focussing on photographs taken on my ‘lockdown’ walks (together with other related general activities (I’ve yet to come up with a title).
Went for a walk with Moira at around 4pm but, after 20 minutes or so, I decided there were just too many people about for my liking and returned home (Moira continued a little further… and wasn’t quite as fazed as me about ‘all the people’!).
Watched an excellent programme on Matisse via catch-up after supper.
Went to bed reasonably early to read more of my VS book.
