Another dawn walk. Another beautiful sunny day. Simple walk
via Bathurst Basin/Guinea Street/Ostrich Pub/M-shed/Gaol Ferry Steps.
Finished my ‘Yes Minister’ book (for what must be the sixth
time?)… still relevant and hilarious despite being nearly 40 years since it was
first published.
Morning coffee with Moira in the garden.
Spent most of the morning trying to come to terms with my
Blub book again… essentially trying to iron our snags and write some text. Slow
but steady progress.
Started reading my ‘Outrun’ book.
Spent part of the afternoon trying to sort out books (and
bookshelves)… and, in the process, discovering just how dust-covered the books
and shelves were! A ‘project’ for tomorrow methinks.
Chatting to Ursa (and Hannah) at the end of the afternoon –
they’re camping in the garden during half-term! Ursa’s incredibly enthusiastic
(they’ve ‘completed’ two night thus far and Ursa wants to continue for the rest
of the week). They all seem to be coping well and are in good spirits.
Moira and I had drinks in the garden before supper (home-made
pizzas), which was nice.
Watched Grayson Perry Art Club on catch-up and then ‘A
House Through Time’ on BBC2 – featuring the home of friends Karen and David.
Exciting!
