Thursday 14 May:

We’ve now been self-isolating for eight weeks.
Dawn walk via Metrobus Bridge/Avon Lock/harbourside/Gaol Ferry Bridge on yet another beautiful, sunny morning (albeit quite chilly).
Home for poached eggs-on-toast+coffee breakfast… followed by our usual ‘coffee chat’.
Sent off the church re-ordering group’s response to Heritage+Community… it’ll be interesting to see how they respond (I’m not holding my breath!).
Spent a fair amount of the day trying to get to grips with Blurb – I THINK I’ve just about cracked it (but I can’t be 100% sure) – but, in any case, the ‘journal’ will be continuing for a fair time yet.
Continued to read my ‘Radio’ book after lunch.
At the end of the afternoon, we had a lovely zoom chat with Maggs+Jeremy… they seem to be in a similar position as us (and with a similar attitude towards needing to stay in lockdown for the foreseeable future etc).
We joined in the weekly applause for NHS and Care Workers… this continues to be really well supported by our neighbours every week, people on their doorsteps clapping. Quite a powerful sense of community.
