Today
marks seven weeks of self-isolation.
No
walking today, but a busy day nevertheless…
It was
the usual “Bloke’s Prayer” get together at 7am, which was good value. Much
discussion about last night’s Resonate ‘meeting’.
This
week’s Drawing Group theme was ‘Streetview’ (borrowing an idea from Urban
Sketchers) and, as it happens, we have another Urban Sketchers meet-up this
coming Saturday in Sintra, Portugal (courtesy of Marta)… there is SO much to
draw there that I decided to cheat and produce an extra sketch of the location
– which I spent part of the morning putting together.
Drilled
holes and fixed new washing line (after battling through thick honeysuckle
barrier!).
Zoom chat
with Iris, Rosa and Ruth late afternoon – which is always good to do… and
everyone seemed to be in pretty good spirits.
The
evening produced TWO bookgroup sessions (StorySmith and Bloke’s Books) and both
were really good. Hugely grateful that such things can continue during the
pandemic.
Government
talk about possible relaxing some of the ‘lockdown’ rules after this coming
weekend? Don’t think it will actually affect us, as oldies!
