Thursday 28 May:

I read my ‘Outrun’ book in bed instead of going for an early morning walk.
I was particularly conscious of the need for me to prepare for the important Re-Ordering Group’s zoom meeting later in the day. Prepared lots of notes on the garden table in the sunshine… and also chatted to Tom to compare our thoughts.
Later, I’d agreed to meet up with Mike Levine (one of my Tory-voting friends – who’s actually a delightful man). He’d suggested meeting up at Royal Fort Gardens and sharing a bottle of red wine (supplied by him!). We each took our own glasses (and Mike even wore gloves while pouring the wine!) and sat at the either end of two benches. It was rather lovely and we chatted merrily away for nearly two hours.
Re-Ordering Group meeting covered all the necessary points and we’ve agreed a plan of action (of sorts). I think I have a very busy couple of days ahead!
Applauded the NHS/Support workers as usual from our doorstep (apparently, after 10 weeks, I think this might be the last one).
Image: Flowers from Steve+Diane (they felt we needed to see something of the countryside!)… how lovely.
