I had my Covid booster jab booked in for 8am (pharmacy opposite St Mary Redcliffe)… all very efficient and straightforward… and, wonder of wonders, I also managed to collect my medication from the Bedminster pharmacy at 8.30am!!
Went back home before venturing out again for a meeting with Jeanette at Saint Stephen’s (to discuss potential locations for the Black Jesus icon).
Went to the library briefly after lunch and also did a quick Bridget Riley-type pattern sketch (while waiting the plumber to come and check out the toilet flush in the bathroom)… the plumber was due to arrive at 3.30pm… but I ended up phoning his office an hour later to be told “he’s been dealing with an emergency and won’t be able to make the appointment and we’ll need to arrange another day” (oh, thank you very much for phoning me and letting me know!!). Just not good enough really, but I couldn’t be bothered to have to go through the business of finding another plumber.
Horrible news that a Tory MP had been stabbed and killed in his constituency office.
Evening telly: ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ and ‘Montalbano’ again!
Went to bed with a sore arm after my jab.
