Alice collected us from the Motel at 9am (I had a very disturbed night’s sleep for some reason – nothing to do with the accommodation) and took us home for breakfast.
Spent the morning chilling and drinking coffee… then walked through local housing estate to feed the ducks (Mikes) and then on through some nearby ancient woodland. Really beautiful and quite a surprise… very Autumnal; played Poo Sticks in the stream.
Soup lunch, followed by more chilling and chatting and then Alice+Mikes took us to Preston station. Train journeys pretty straightforward and uneventful (change at New Street)… arrived back home by 9.30pm (in the rain). It felt good to be back in our new apartment.
Downloaded photos and re-charged my phone etc.
Bed by 10.30pm to read more of my Atkinson short story book.
