Thursday 14 October:

Strange morning…
After Moira and I had had coffee, I departed on a ‘trip’ to the pharmacy, Hugo’s and to deliver our package to Rosa.
First, it wasn’t until I’d walked to ‘We The Curious’ that I realised I’d forgotten Rosa’s package… and had to return home to collect it.
Second, I went to collect my prescription from the pharmacy (it was a repeat prescription and SHOULD have been included when I collected the rest of medication 8 days ago; they asked me to come back in 5 days; today, they asked if I call back in 4 hours’ time as it hadn’t yet been made up)(it’s four blister packs of pills for goodness sake)…
Third, I was attacked by an old lady’s dog (note: the dog was COMPLETELY unprovoked, I hasten to add!) and was very fortunate to escape without injury (the reactions of an athlete?!)… the lady gave me one of those ‘he-doesn’t-usually-do-that’ looks!)…
Fourth, I got on a pretty crowded bus and was very depressed to find less than 5% of passengers were wearing face-masks…
Hey ho!
But there WERE some lovely skies to compensate… beautiful cloud formations, including mackerel skies. Very lovely.
I spent the afternoon mostly reading on the balcony (but making slow progress with my ‘Buried Giant’ book).
Evening telly: the return of ‘Portrait Artist’ (hurrah!)… and ‘Repair Shop’.
