I went for a pre-breakfast walk along the promenade (in the rain). Not nice weather but lovely to be by the sea again (or at least the Ribble estuary!).
Good full breakfast for me (Moira had much healthier fruit etc) and then we both went walking along the seafront (fortunately the rain had stopped and the sun had come out!). Walked as far as Stanner Point (via Granny’s Bay!) and stopped for coffee at the boathouse (2 miles away).
Then walked back into Lytham and found a small restaurant for a light lunch.
Relaxed back in the hotel for part of the afternoon (I finished my Dorian Gray book) and also took a walk before our early evening restaurant meal (at Lytham House restaurant, five minutes from the hotel). The meal and the venue were both fine but it took simply ages for us to be given drinks or for our food orders to be taken etc. All a little disappointing and hugely frustrating.
